5k

Mommy was running a 5k on our treadmill one evening. Apparently I looked like I needed a pick-me-up to finish the race. :o) I was probably looking pretty rough. Haha...

I saw Dylan watching me. He jumped up from the couch and disappeared into the kitchen. I had only about 5 minutes left in the race when I see him appear from around the corner. He was holding this cute little flag he made from some notebook paper. He began to cheer me on while waving his little flag! He cheered me through the entire rest of the race. I nearly cried from laughing at how cute it was.

When I got of the treadmill, he came to show me what he made. He actually wrote, "Go Mommy" on the flag. That's my boy. He's the encourager.

While I was checking over the flag he ran off again. This time he spent a little while at the table. When he returned, he was carrying this envelope in his hand.

Our family has evolved! All of Dylan's pictures of us up to this point have me holding Braxton. This in the first one where he is standing on his own (we're not there yet, but I know it won't be long).

I am so proud of my big boy for how far he's come this year in his writing. It is definitely not his favorite subject. If you'll notice his mouth with no teeth...those are missing from literally "pulling teeth" to get him to write!!! JUST KIDDING!!! We're coming along though. Slowly but surely.
