We've been having a great time this school year so far. The first half of the year was slightly rushed academic learning so we could be done before we left for Ohio for the month of December. This half is full of LOTS of hands on activities and outings. The boys are all enjoying themselves. Mommy too.
I am so blessed to be able to be the main influence in my children's lives. They do say, "By the time a child reaches third grade, his friends are more influencial than his own parents." That's scary considering many parents in America are dropping the ball in the morals, character, and values department. Teachers can't do it all. We hear the stories that come home with Daddy. So, for now, we continue on this homeschooling adventure...
Our house model as part of our maps unit....
Learning about the President and Washington DC. We also have the White House to put together. It was so fun to do these. We'll have to look for more. My kids are puzzle lovers.
And a quick sorting activity to organize our manipulatives for math.
