Almost 27 weeks and counting!!!

Monday was our regular checkup at the dr. John was home sick from work so I was going to go by myself and leave the boys with him, but Dylan insisted on going too. He didn't want to miss anything in case they had to take the baby out!!! He keeps asking everytime I have an appointment if today is the day. He is so excited. Baby Boo has been doing fine as far as we can tell. Heart rate sounded great at 152! Dylan has been telling everyone for the past 2 days and he got to hear his baby!!! The dr. keeps teasing me everytime I come in though. One time it sounds like a girl and then next time it's a boy. This baby for sure keeps us guessing. I don't really have a feeling either way. One online gender predictor quiz that I took told me that it was 50% chance for a girl and 50% chance for a boy. I am so excited for the announcement in the delivery room though. It will be here before we know it.

Tuesday night was a night of lots of movement!!! It was so funny and cute because the boys and John too were all sitting around in the living room relaxing. Instead of watching TV, we were all watching my belly waiting for it to jump with movement. This week has been the first week that I have been feeling some really strong jolts. It is cool though to watch the baby kick and the boys are able to feel it now. They rub on my belly and Dylan loves to kiss and talk to the baby. I know that he/she will know his voice right away when he/she "comes out".

Wednesday we had our second Level 2 sonagram. Growth continues to be consistent throughout all of the organs and parts. The dr. says that he/she appears to be completely healthy, just smaller by about 2 weeks than he would expect. The drs. do not plan to change my due date because of the original sonagram that dated me back at 12 weeks. We can probably expect to continue to have ultrasounds to rule out any problems that may be causing the small size. One other small discovery during this sonagram was "somewhat below average" levels of amneonic fluid. At this point, it is not a huge concern but it will be monitored as I progress. I have officially gained back 5 pounds over the past 3 months! So, now I am only down 15 pounds from the start of the pregnancy. At least we are headed in the right direction at this point and I am able to keep food down now!!!

Here are a few pictures that were taken yesterday!

The heart can be seen here to the left of the profile of the face.

What an awesome profile of Baby Boo! Our little one was constantly hiding!
